2019 Domaine Rebourgeon-Mure Pommard 1er Cru Les Grands ÉpenotsPinot Noir more |
5/10/2024 - Jkrench Likes this wine: 95 pointsClassic burgundy red color. Raspberries; most elegant aromas wafting from the glass, complete and balanced oak framing the wine. On the palate it’s elegant and accessible even its 2019. Cherries, raspberries, dark and some red fruits with some sweet yet slightly unresolved tannins, but all ready it’s clear this is very well managed wine. I intended to have the wine over a couple of days to check on development, but it kept drawing me back - resistance was futile. |

9/4/2023 - forceberry wrote: 93 points100% Pinot Noir from a parcel in 1er Cru Santenots, planted in 1954. The wine is typically aged for 14-18 months in partly new oak barrels, the length of the aging depending on the vintage. 13% alcohol. Tasted blind. |

2/26/2024 - euroyup wrote: 90 pointsNose: refined sous bois. Taste: good fruit. A bit prominent acidity. Better than in 2015, but the tannis were not fully resolved, so keeping for another three till five years seems a good idea. A rather classy wine. 90 for now. Potentially 91? |

1/20/2024 - OenophilistMN Likes this wine: 90 pointsFriend brought this to dinner as he knows my cellar is (for whatever reason) Burgundy deficient. One-hour splash decant with some sediment in the bottle. During decant, a mild floral aroma sprang forth. Wine was clear; translucent ruby with no apparent bricking. After resting, nose was not that Burgundian but was still quite nice: lots of raspberry and cranberry, earth and toast. The mouth was similar to the nose, and Grenache-like in how deep the flavors were. As the night went on, the raspberry yielded to the cranberry supported by dark earth and vanilla on a moderate finish. Not the most Burgundian wine, but very very enjoyable! |

12/11/2023 - chmorc Likes this wine: 89 pointsTook a while to open up. Nice acidity, with notes of black cherries, spice, and silky tannins on the finish. There was a bitter/green note on the finish, it blew off and evolved into a dark chocolate or coffee note the next day. Really nice length for a villages level wine. |

12/7/2023 - steko78 Likes this wine: 91 pointsA wine of architecture and a bit intellectual at this stage, needs aeration but doesn't completely reveal itself in terms of aromas; it remains somewhat subdued with notes of cherry and pit. However, the palate is very tense, chalky, with fine tannins that carry the wine and give it a Cistercian character (an arch). Definitely one to wait for. |

11/13/2023 - euroyup wrote: NRNice soft sous blois-nose. Fruity, concentrated and vital taste. Despite the rather fine tannins, already nice. No complexity, but maybe it will devellop during aging. I have had several millesimes of his wine, but this 2020 is clearly the best. For now 88-89. |

7/25/2023 - euroyup wrote: NRColor: rather dark ruby-purple. Nose: subtle, young wood and forest floor, with rather ethereal herbs. Taste: again the ethereal herbs, fruit (cherry and raspberry) and still quite promiment, but fine tannins. Beside that already well balanced with a nice acidity. Already quite fine and pleasant, this wine will probably be better after three till five years of further aging. Looking forward to that. Potentially 90+. |

7/15/2023 - red_man Likes this wine: 91 pointsgood level and intact elastic cork, as usual in my experience with this producer lots of fine sediment, needs careful decanting (unfiltered and/or restrained fining?), decanted 1.5 hours into small decanter, colour shows some age with distinct brown tinge, superb nose, fine, ethereal but deep and complex classic Volnay nose, could just inhale all night, palate also really fine, with lightness but still depth and intensity, distinctly acid clean long finish, lovely Volnay from top 1er Cru vineyard, should be drunk and enjoyed now |

7/1/2023 - king-bing wrote: NR2/6. Dark colour and dark fruited nose. Def a solar vintage. Last bottle a couple of years ago was worryingly not much fun but this was a lot better. Some air and this brightened up. Plush and full with a good length of finish. This continued to improve over 2 hours when the slight ponderous over-plushnesss dissipated leaving a much airier presence and the better for it. Simple perhaps but charming. |

On the palate wild strawberry, rhubarb, field flowers and meadow with early signs of mushroom and forest floor. Complex structure and good balance.
