Lightly sparkling, red fruited, dry (not sweet). Good quality, nothing special among Lambrusco but good overall. 87

Almost nothing on the nose, except a slight whiff of red currant and strawberry . Crisp and fresh, went very well with Brie and crackers.

Dyp rød med en duft av søte røde bær - små deilige bobler med god syre og saftig smak av jordbær og bringebær. Passer god til enkel italiensk antipasti tipper jeg, men også alene. Tørr utgang.

I tried this in both a large Burgundy Riedel tumbler and also in a Riedel champagne glass - didn't really have a prefernece. Pretty, dark ruby color. Plum, pomegranate, cherry and herbs (basil?) on the nose. Very dry but not too far for me. then a bit of umami and olive on the finish, just enough to make sure I didn't forget this was Italian.

From glass. Nose is lemony, with overtures of “natural-wine” yeasties / craft beer. Palate: fresh, nice juicy and bitter grapefruit. A slight kind of breadiness, but nothing toasty, etc. Finishing soapy; a touch less bitter and soapy on the finish would have been nicer. But overall, decent. First I’ve ever heard of Montuni, the grape (or any of its aliases).

Med rose color. Soft bubbles. Pink and blue berries on the nose. Mellow mouthfeel and classic champagne styled taste. Paired well with cheeses (specifically Paradiso Reserve) and dinner (scallop parmesan linguine and asparagus).

Straight fire organic rose Lambrusco. Fresh and fruity and fun to drink — and appetizing. A “dancer” across the palette with citrus, rind-forward aftertaste #biologico. Had in quarantine in New York City March 2020. Wild spring taste for truly wild cultural moment.

The wine looks brick colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit, apricot and pear. It tastes like grapefruit and apricot. The body is light. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Wine Tasting Group - No Theme - Feb. 22, 2020 (My place): a petillant naturel sparkling wine made of Montuni (50%), Pinot (25%), Trebbiano (25%) grapes from Emilia, Italy. Lovely apple and mild brioche aromas with a touch of minerals. On the palate, there's mild brioche/yeast flavors with apples with hints of cinammon and bitter herbs. Nice minerals on the mid-palate with excellent acids. Not all that complex or profound but just a happy wine.

Deep purple. The stuff of grape syrup. You’d guess we may have a sweet Lambrusco here but we most definitely do not. Bone dry as they come and it’s what makes this one interesting. Aromas of dark plums and black cherry and damp cellar. Tannic and so lacking in sugar that you’ll need some food and some salt and Parmesan might just be the perfect thing

A sparkling wine made without sulfites. The carbonation is obtained in the autoclave (Charmat method).

Deep yellow appearance with the hue of apple juice concentrate. Very vibrant, nuanced and somewhat wild nose with aromas of smoke, autolytic brioche and nuttiness, some freshly pressed farmhouse apple juice tones, a little bit of honey-and-oat cookie and a hint of cloudberry. The wine is dry, fizzy and slightly funky on the palate with complex flavors of nutty autolysis, mealy red apples, some French bread, a little bit of leathery funk, light bitter notes of apple peel and a hint of burnt hair. The mousse feels silky smooth and the overall feel is quite structured with its moderately high acidity and even a subtle touch of tannic tug on the gums. With its acidity, somewhat appley flavors and a funky, wild edge, the wine somehow reminds me of the dry Jaanihanso ciders. The finish is dry, quite bitter and slightly funky with flavors of mealy red apples, some funky farmhouse cider, a little bit of nutty autolysis, light brioche tones and a hint of chalky mineral bitterness.

A fun yet serious, funky yet still relatively clean and vibrant and overall very drinkable little sparkling wine. Some people say that Pignoletto could have the potential to become the next Prosecco, but based on this wine, this feels more like a vinous counterpart to the funky farmhouse ciders. Sure, this is a natural wine and not a "classic Pignoletto", so the comparison isn't really justified. Nevertheless, a fun and very drinkable little naturalist bubbly that offered some welcome refreshment on a hot summer's day. Good value at 6€ for a 10 cl glass in a bar.

Previous note spot on, though maybe a touch more autolytic stuff for me than zero. Liked it a lot -- a wine for beer drinkers. (I'm not a beer drinker, however, and I loved it. Picked it to go with a salty sardine-caper pasta dish, and dug it.)

Fairly dry, with a slightly lambic tartness and a light bitterness that plays well with the overall oxidative apple-y and extremely citrusy nature. Beer-like. Fresh!

I didn't get much autolysis - I feel like I should have, as this was made with the methode ancestral. A low-sulfur (possibly no-sulfur) wine.
