Initially subdued nose of red bing cherry, earth, mushrooms, raspberry with a hint of dried herbs that gradually opened up over an hour, with cranberry emerging. Light pleasant heat and acidity, smooth but almost non-existent tannins. Light-bodied. Juicy (savory?) cranberry and cherry fruit on the palate, nice spicy tobacco notes. Short tart finish. Started to fall apart after 2 hours of air. A simple, food-friendly wine, very quaffable, but nothing profound going on here. |

The wine is not extremely concentrated but very harmonious and elegant and still a bit reticent. Good acidity and sticky tannin. Already a pleasure, but will improve over the next 5 – 8 years. 92 – 93+ |
