8/26/2017 - schott Likes this wine: 94 pointsOur group of friends are long time Kosta Browne drinkers. We looked forward to tasting this one as it was our first of M. Browne's Cirq. Out of the cellar at 55F. Some strong alcohol on the nose on first opening. Very dark ruby/purple color. Impressive fruit on the nose. Decanted for 1.5 hours. Big legs in the glass. Alcohol has dissipated. Surprisingly soft, elegant, and medium body. Almost perfect balance of fruit, tanin, alcohol, acid. This is truly a stellar pinot - perhaps as good as a Sonoma pinot gets. After some time an interesting caramel/cola secondary flavor emerges. Wow! Easy 94 points - perhaps better.

2/19/2017 - Barry Notes Likes this wine: 92 pointsPnP, chilled. Clear, light straw color. Nice nose. This was beautiful stuff. Good Chard characteristics, bright, intense, powerful. Slight stony edge, minor oak, well balanced and integrated. Better as it had more air time. Long fruity finish. Well done, nothing off. $69
