A bit of fruit, earth, integrated tannins on the front palette with a hint of spice on the back. This wine will not get better! It is drinking perfectly right now.

There are aromas of blackberry, cigar box, licorice, cedar, earth and hints of barnyard and crushed stone. Very good nose. Although palate is a bit tight, it exhibits creamy texture with notes of tobacco and red cherry, mid-palate is a bit thin. Not as tannic as originally thought, round and polished, though the finish does carry a sense of heat and bitterness. The wine is at a good place right now, yet can develop further with some more time in the cellar.
