2/19/2023 - Eric_Lavoie Likes this wine: 93 pointsDecanted for about 30 minutes prior to drinking (needed closer to an hour). Immense concentration and palate presence with dark yet ripe red fruit wrapped around a core of cedar, clove, and the slightest bit of cinnamon. Quite a warm body of fruit here, with a fair amount of acidity. Aromas of rose, cranberry, strawberry jam, and forest floor. Not as sauvage as I'd expect, a bit more new-world(?) perhaps with a clean and focused palate.

2/25/2023 - LucasTijn Likes this wine: 90 pointsCatherina Sadde is the real deal. I've been thoroughly impressed each time I've tried one of her wines, and even just the Coteaux Bourguignons is at a level most could only dream of. A dense perfume of violet, lilies, lilacs and black pepper alongside raspberry, tobacco, blackberry juice and herbal tea ooze from the glass. The wine has noticeable tannins and quite good structure, a little rustic, but has a playful and elegant side that really draws you in. The palate isn't as aromatically dense as the nose, mostly just forest berries and black cherry, but with a lovely texture and balance. A really great Coteaux Bourguignons!

8/4/2023 9:15:00 AM - I was able to try all the 2020 whites with Jacques from barrel, and have since also had the Les referts and Champs Canet in bottle, and they are magnificent. My initial impression was that the Les Perrieres needs the most time, what is also usually the case. Cheers!
