Bought from the list. Cork disintegrated but wine was in good shape. Mature cab - ready to drink. Smooth. Currant, pencil lead, a little menthol…fine grained / integrated tannins.

1/16/2024 8:34:00 AM - I think it's holding for sure. No bricking, some / not a lot of sediment, primary / secondary notes. IIRC 2007 was a bit riper, maybe less structured vintage. That said, I find Dunn built for age usually. Thought it was drinking great. I'll likely given the other 2007 a couple years and see where it is. Hope that helps...

On the darker side of Pinot. Bright cherries on the nose. Mild acidity, which leads me to believe that this won't age too long. I'd say it has another few years. Easy drinking now.

Opened and drank over a couple hours. Some nice sweet cherry and earth on the nose and at first. Fairly herbaceous and kinda coarse on the palate. This seems to be in an odd spot perhaps this needs more time. Couldn’t finish the bottle ... tomorrow will inform if this has legs or not

Dinner with Henri Boillot (Chicago, IL): I liked the 2009 Mouchere a little more than this one, which I found to be a tinnier, higher-toned, and slightly screechier version of the 2009. I think that without that amount of opulent fruit on the palate, the acidity and minerality seem to stand out more. I also felt that this wine seemed to be a little shut down, which might be responsible for the lack of fruit that I found here. On the other hand, I wouldn't be racing to trade in my 2010s for 2009s; this is still an outstanding wine, and very much true to what Puligny is.
