I really don’t understand how a certain wine critic (even with his reputation of delivering 100 pts left and right) can give this 97. What a scam.
This is a very good wine, quite surprising on the freshness, nice fruit and balance. Nice drink but also quite one dimensional. You can find better for half the price

What the hell this is still so young. Had it on a root day, and I don’t know if it had an impact or not but the nose remained shut down unfortunately.
The colour is still bright and red / purple, very few sign of ageing, the palate is velvety, intense, long, superb. I thought about St Julien rather than Margaux.
A great Margaux in the making but you still need to give it time

Epic wine. Absolutely pure. Nice floral notes, vanilla, oak, cassis, black currant. Tastes like perfection. Medium-long finish. This will continue to age very well. Has not yet hit its peak.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small pour, brief note. Ripe, tasty, and slightly jammy, but I found it slightly lacking depth. Not sure what to make of this wine.

This is a good wine but nowhere near what it should deliver for such an appellation - more to the level of a good village wine. Lacks depth and intensity.
Ready to drink now.

I seldom write here (this bottle actually motivated me to start sharing notes..) but we treated ourselves with this tonight. Slightly disappointed to be honest. Its a tough vintage but such a climate and producer need to deliver (aside from the price point…). The wine didn’t show the depth (especially the mid palate) that was expected. It was super good yes, silky yes, but not grand. Too introvert as my wife rightfully said. Tough
