Maybe the best value ever on a Bordeaux blend. Beautifully merged varietal flavors favoring the merlot but with surprising spice and character. Short finish would be the only criticism. Should be fine for another two years in cellar.

July 22, 2014 - I have tried 3 of these over the past six months, purchased from wtso and cellared properly on this end since then. They have, alas, been uniformly disappointing, and bear the marks of having been cooked somewhere along the way. Thin and acidic, unyielding on the nose or the palette, they revealed not even a hint of fruit, tannin or much else, and had absolutely no business claiming status as vin de pays, let alone grand cru. Sometimes one wonders about internet wine "steals" being too good to be true, an assertion I'm glad is mostly inaccurate, but in this case it's - unfortunately - all too apt. I am going henceforth to limit "special" wine purchases like this to winter months as I do not doubt (reading others positive impressions of this wine) that heat was the culprit

11/6/2014 7:02:00 PM - We order lots of wine from WTSO. During summer and winter, we have them hold the order, planning to take delivery in mid-October and in April so that the wines aren't exposed to climate extremes on the way. Rarely have I been disappointed with this strategy. Having said that, I haven't tasted any of this one yet, and I guess we will open the first bottle on a night when we're not having company...
