Not necessarily bad bottles but more a difference in how old the wine tastes meaning some bottles are more youthful and some tasting more mature. I see this because this bottle tastes much older than expected. Rusty brick color. All secondary and tertiary flavors and smells. Still alive and delicious but no more primary fruit, just typical old burgundy aromatics. Delicate earthy Smoky bouquet and flavors. Did not fall off over several hours. Still delicious but not unique anymore. Just more of an old burgundy taste. This may be a drink up situation and hopefully I will try another bottle soon. Hopefully this is just an abnormally older tasting bottle. Still excellent QPR and a bargain for what it was sold for originally. |

There has been a lot of bottle of variation with this wine and this one tastes much younger than some of the other ones. I've heard that there are some who are very knowledgeable about wine saying that this is dead. That is not so. Certainly it is fully mature and best to consume now but the bottles I've had none of them are falling apart and have been quite good. |

The only flaw is the bottle variation is all over the place but there are some bottles that are good and some bottles that are great. I have been very pleasantly surprised by this wine and I've been very happy with the qpr. This bottle was a little bit more backward and then most as it had more acidity but it was still very approachable and delicious. Lots of tomato cherry and Earth flavors and bouquet. This is definitely one to drink up now it will not get any better and can only go downhill |

This bottle is hitting all the right buttons at once. Very pale brick to almost brownish color.. explosive bouquet of spice, dark cherries, red cherries, tomato. Light to medium Bodied with a juiciness to the fruit and loads of flavors with lots of complexity. Minerals, spice, Earth, sweet dark cherry, red cherry, tomato. Long finish. Absolutely delicious and drinking perfectly now. I can't imagine this giving any better and that's a compliment. |

Some line, some zip, but also a bit of breadth - a kind of non-sweet cherry coke character I associate with Tollot-Beaut. Wine of the flight for me and a little bit special - the sweet spot of villages burg where it doesn't try to beat premier cru but it has something special and unique that you can't find elsewhere. |
