Light garnet. Cherry bouquet with some violet notes. Palate is striking for the tartness. Sour cherry profile and medium body with good acidity driving a medium to long final. Tannins well integrated. Really quite nice for a wine at this level.

Paired with salmon cake and mixed salad. Dark crimson-purple color with a violet hue. Muted nose brings red lavender, potpourri, and cherry menthol. The palate is medium, round, and jammy, bringing a nice core of dark fruit interlaced with high-toned cherry and raspberry notes, which leads into a tannic finish of cloves and black tea. This has a good frame and thick tannins which bodes well for further aging. However, right now this doesn't taste 'fresh' to me as the jammy fruit is distracting and bogs the palate down. I also detect some heat on the tail from higher alcohol (14.5%). Drink 2026-2034. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 90.

On ressent l’année solaire, mais on peut reconnaitre le pinot. C’est assez ouvert actuellement, pas grand, assez joufflu. Va plaire a certain plus qua dautre.

Officiel : Le millésime 2018 nous montre sur l’ensemble de la côte chalonnaise, des vins pulpeux aux équilibres très précis. Il y a de la profondeur aromatique, de belles matières en bouche et surtout, des acidités élevées qui garantissent un potentiel de garde intéressant.

Lys gul på farge. Epler og sitroner samt lett smør og hylleblomst på duft. Noe timian i tillegg.
Fyldig og litt fett anslag med et hav av smaker i munnen, frukt som på nesen og hint av hav retronasalt. Høy syre.
Lang fruktig og sitrusdreven lengde, nydelig balansert på alle vis. I et nydelig drikkevindu som vil vare.

Pues ya hacía años que no pasaba por mis fauces el aligoté de Aubert (y Pamèla) de Villaine, una excelente aproximación a esta variedad borgoñona. Color pajizo con destellos dorados, destaca el lado "suelo", con mineralidad y carácter, la fruta aparece en segundo plano,. hay matices cítricos (verdes), sensaciones florales, algo de hierba seca. La boca me gustó mucho, la entrada es buena, reaparece la mineralidad, hay sensaciones salinas, excelente acidez, sensaciones cítricas intensas, casi secantes, hay algo de tiza. Afilado pero con materia. Bastante largo.

My best guess is the bottle was flawed or shut down in a horrible way. No fruit. The palate astringent, acidic and tannic nothing more. Decanted put back in fridge and tried next day, same. I hope my remaining bottles are better. Not rated.

Grumpy bottle; normally these are in their prime drinking window at 14 years. Distinctly reduced (sulfide) aromas on opening, partially dissipates over 2 hours but not completely. A sharp tannic edge partially obscures the fruit which seems a bit more primary than expected, also uncharacteristic for this wine at this age. Not overtly damaged but wondering if my bottles from this year are off.

PnP. Final bottle purchased on release and it's consistent with the one I opened two years ago. Color remains bright, clear, light straw. Fading intensity of aromas and flavors, but plenty of acidity. This variety can age, no doubt, but I'd not be sitting on these '18s any longer if I had more - there just doesn't seem to be enough fruit. I'll happily look for the new release. recommended

Opened last night and finished tonight. Can't say I'm really too impressed. This seemed hard from start to finish, with little charm or flesh. Dark cherry was somewhat in evidence, but not enough to matter. This still looks young and seems to have some tannin; could it simply need more time? The drinking windows on CT don't suggest as much, but stranger things have happened I suppose. 4-11-13-6: 84/100.

13.5% alkohol. Druer fra vinranker som ble hentet fra Côte-d’Or og plantet i 1990. Vinmarken Les Saint-Jacques er østvendt og ligger rett nedenfor en av Rully’s beste Premier Cru.
Aromatisk gul tropisk frukt, kjølig og salt mineralitet. Solmodne sitroner, ananas og pene, elegante eiketoner med smør. Lang, frisk og mineralsk.
