7/16/2012 - Bacchus&Ceres Likes this wine: 87 pointsCreamy vanilla aromas tightly intertwined with peachy, apricot, and tropical notes. Texture is full and rich showing ripe fruit notes with sweet vanilla caramel throughout finish. Oak is hot charry flavors, green grass, herbaceous spicy oak (new barrels) buttery fat wine. Overbearing wood characters |

Expected a drop off after a delicious Lede Stags but thie Atticus held its own at a fraction of the cost! A solid Napa Cab all around, nice refined soft tannins, nice finish, solidly on its plateau. I've got another of this vintage and a 2007 left in the cellar. Plenty of time left on this if stored well. |

10/4/2013 - Wino Joe Likes this wine: 89 pointsWonderful Napa Cab but didn't live up to the hype. Deep garnet in the glass. Nose of blackberries and peppers. Fruit forward blackberry with some vegetal notes wrapped in really tight tannins following a medium finish. Nice for the price but there is better. |

6/5/2010 - slywka7 Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis is a very nice bottle with a lot of upfront red and dark fruit flavors. The silky tannins glide across your palate and it has a hint of vanilla on the finish. Doesn't drink like a $25 bottle! |

7/24/2011 - slywka7 Likes this wine: 90 pointsThe wine has nice dark cherry, coffee, and mocha notes. The wine is surprisingly not that tannic for a Cabernet, which means it is perfect for early term consumption. |

7/6/2011 - NHLC Likes this wine: 90 pointsWith time in the glass and bottle (drank over 4 nights), this wine revealed a rich nose of ripe currants and cherries, with some underlying mocha, tobacco and cedar. The palate is medium-full bodied, and the fruit really comes alive - quite juicy with cool minerality, very round and balanced. Tannins are mature and soft. Finish is a little short. While it lacks complexity, it's a perfect everyday drinker for the price. Drink now - the tannins will limit this bottle's lifespan. |

Dark fruit, medium bodied cabernet. had a good mouthfeel, and a slightly sweet finish. Oak is noticeable but not over done. Well made wine with good fruit. This was a really good effort. Upon the reveal, this might have been the surprise of the night for me. Great QPR, and something that I will go out and buy. |

5/23/2011 - jorge48 wrote: 89 pointsTasted blind at UBS Wine tasting event (organized bt Grapes of Norwalk). In stark contrast to the Chilean Sauvigno Blanc tasted just before, this was bone dry with no sweetness or fruit at all. On the mouth, tasted almost like whiskey or some such hard liquor. Went quite well with crakers and cheese, though, underlining the point that some wines are meant as an accompaniement to food. Guessed erroneously it must have been from Italy. As it turned out, this was the Californian Chardonnay... |
