2/6/2022 - deadlyapp Likes this wine: 89 pointsFirst things first, this isn't a restrained pinot or burgundian at all. This is very much bordering on a heavy syrah. With that said it is a beautiful wine. Currant, sweet raspberries, and pepper on the nose. Round currant and black cherry, leather, cedar, black licorice, some cola. It's got a few years left for sure. |

1/24/2022 - brewnello wrote: 88 pointsAs mediocre as this is, I found it drinkable on a weeknight for $26 from Garagiste. Most OR Pinots I drink are twice this price. The Syrah dark tones muted on day two to some red fruit and the oak disappeared. So a long decant makes this decent QPR. I wouldn’t buy more but will drink the next two… |

1/20/2022 - jayw wrote: NRExpressive nose. Rich, ripe fruit, with lots of buttery oak and a little spice. Medium-bodied, with a silky texture and integrated tannins. Not my favorite style of Pinot Noir, but good for what it is. It was a good match with a pan-fired chuck steak and sauteed green peppers, but it's not the kind of Pinot that does well with a wide variety of foods. Only fair value at $19. 6/13/2021 - Rick 4 Wine Does not like this wine: 88 pointsNot a badly made wine but the style makes this Pinot taste more like a Syrah sans tannins. Big jammy, overly-ripe fruit and an artificial sweetness. 14.6% alcohol tells you what you need to know about the Brix when this was picked. |

Flavorful, but not very balanced; all fruit, but very little structure to provide balance. Even the chicken pot pie couldn’t balance this fruit bomb. Pass in the future. Drink now. |

8/21/2020 - jr94 Likes this wine: 87 pointsGaragiste Pinot Noir overhyped by JR. Pretty approachable, with a medium body, deep ruby color, low tannins/sediments, etc. The only thing that stands out is a bit of a pungent smell. Overall ok wine... maybe a bit more technical than outright enjoyable. |

7/29/2020 - Nojomoschwa Does not like this wine: 87 pointsI agree with BIG JUICY RED. This was a mystery purchase via Garagiste for $26+ and just not at all what I want in a Pinot. It smalls of toasty vanilla oak and heavily extracted, technically farmed (in a bad way) fruit. It is just OTT and quite one-to-two note (oak and very ripe dark fruit). It was better with a chill, seemed to make it a little brighter. The overall flavors were quite nice, but the volume was turned up to 100, whereas I prefer it quite a bit lower. |
