I remember this wine being fun, not admirable. Violets lighten the blackberry/strawberry on day 2, and I wouldn't be surprised if it improved over another day or two, but I had too much fun criticizing this wine to save any for . . . Science |

It has such a distinct element of muscat in the nose and the finish, with very distinctive orange blossom in both the nose and finish. Beyond that, some additional generic floral in the nose, medium weight in the mid palate and a good long bitter orange finish. Much less saline than I'm used to in Malvasia. Different, but nevertheless very enjoyable. |

Nice acid back drop with light tannin complements the robust fruit and elevates the wine. Good with tomato based Israeli couscous and steamed kale side. Very good QPR. |

Flavor: Some pinot fruit buried in the earthiness, no noticeable tannin, acidity not intrusive but enough to give it lift. Body: medium, the 12.5% on the label seems accurate. Very much an old-world style, none of the flashy fruit of an OR or CA pinot, but the bottle slid down very easily! Not a keeper. |
