Aged Tempranillo-based wines - Virtual wine tasting (Skype): Wine 1 of 7: Medium garnet colour. Red and dark fruit, cherry, prune, a meaty aspect, light chocolate, coffee, tobacco, and spices, with medium-level acidity, partly resolved tannin, and good length. Medium-bodied, slightly raisiny and lightly drying but smoothly textured and well-balanced on day one. Lighter-bodied and very integrated on days two and three, with no signs of dryness. Drink now with aeration, or over the next ten years. Good value!

Although this wine seems "over the hill", it still retains several important characteristics inherent to a good wine. It has a "classic " nose with important dark berry, cassis and dark fruit nuances. I think I should have opened it earlier, but considering the circumstances, I think this wine is holding up well. Drink up!!

Smooth, but full body and mouthful. Better on the second day, needs a lot of air. However, still a little bit to much acid.

What did you expect of a bottle coming from a small cooperative in the middle of nowhere?
Fruit still is inside of this ten years old bottle.
Secondary aromas like leather, dried roses or humid earth are very present.
On the palate this's pretty acid and succulent. To repeat again.

prune, dark colour, shiny and clear. nose: blackberries, blackcurrants; pure fruits - fresh and nice. taste: surprisingly balanced. a lot of dark, very ripe fuits; sweetness with some delicate bitterness and liqorice in the finish. Very simple, very well done. Great drinkability, fruit not spoilt by oak.

nicy, ruby colour. nose: thin; some dark fruits - plums, but somehow this fruit is wet; lacks complexity. taste: quite cheerful... some sweet notes plus custard; medium-low acidity; some sun plus some biterness; rather short finish. Expected more.

Aromas of red and black fruit, also stoney minerality. Shows interesting cherry and mocha flavors on the palate. Good acidity up the middle that leads to a long finish.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer, the fig is huge. I didn't place it at first, but as soon as I read those notes, I concurred, really spicy, strong fig flavors dominate. Once my palate adjusted, it wasn't too bad, but still on something I'd won't be revisiting.

Dark purple inky in the glass. Aromas of dark berries, smoke, and earth, which translate entirely to palate. This has concentrated natural dark berry fruit with some complexity, which was pleasant and surprising for the price point of around $8-9. VG QPR.

Surprisingly good for the $7.99 price. Nice Spanish Tempranillo with fruit forward berry and mocha on the finish. Great house wine for weekday enjoyment. And, what a price! This was recommended by Matt Kramer (Wine Spectator reviewer and Oregonian columnist) as a must try for the price point.
