Not sure if it was ever any good but right now it is hanging on by it’s fingertips to just be drinkable…

Als Stampertje en Bambi. Wat een wijngeluk. Een lekker mollig Frans ding. Dat is het. Diepe afdronk met fijne tonen van herfstbladeren.

One of our favorite cheap Bordeaux. Lots of sawdust and pencil shavings (cedar and graphite), subtle and earthy. Great QPR.

Probably tasted this too early and it was the last of 9 wines tasted in this sitting, so grade may be inflated. Liked the nose. Bright and floral. Some cinnamon on the palate, but felt a bit tired.

Black currant, carob and marmite on the nose. Firm and focused, solid and well balanced palate.

A private dinner (Restaurant The French Connection, Amsterdam, NL): Ripe Merlot fruit and earth, warm spice, fresh and beautifully balanced, gentle phenolics, juicy and rounded, hint of cream, perfect weight, clean flavours, complete finish, good length. Quite delicious. Punches well above its weight.
