10/3/2013 - TannicBeast Likes this wine: 88 pointsPale lemon in color. Aromas of lemon, lime, green leaves and clay. The palate is dry, with pronounced acidity and medium alcohol. The mouthfeel is a little lean, whereas the minerality is medium (+). The palate is consistent with the nose, with lemon and lime flavors. This is a medium (-) bodied wine, with a medium (+) flavor intensity and a medium finish. The high acidity that is mostl noticeable at first yelds to a creamier mid-palate thanks to the ageing on the lees, The finish is medium in lengt. This wine is moderately balanced in that it is skewed slightly towards hardness. Drinkeable now, but past vintages were much more complex and softer after 2 or even 3 additional years of ageing. Good by itself, but very good with shellfish. |
