4/19/2024 - Kike Sola Likes this wine: 92 pointsPinot Noir from a vineyard called Largillier, from a clay-limestone soil, on the Côte des Bar in the municipality of Ville-sur-Arce. It comes from two plots, Fruit and Fleur, which are vinified separately and from a single vintage, 2017. Aging of about 36 months in a bottle with its lees. Dosage: 6 g/L. Floral, ripe white fruit, brioche, mineral, refreshing, subtle, creamy, wide, elegant and persistent. 10000 bottles. Nice! |

3/19/2024 - aagrawal wrote: 90 points2019 harvest. Incredibly deep color, like a deep scarlet or a blood red, lovely bead; aromatic, clear strawberry, cherry, great depth; palate is tangy, medium-full bodied, slight bitterness like a cherry pit; medium length finish. Certainly a serious rose champagne, and I'm curious how it will evolve with some air, but for now I'm thrown off a bit by the bitterness on the palate. 90-91 |

2/1/2024 - KeithAkers wrote: 92 pointsDinner at Langbaan (Langbaan, Portland OR): I forgot to get the disgorgement date, but it was a recent purchase. The Exogyre is from a solera and is entirely made from Pinot Noir. That solera influence is present in the tones of nectarine, brioche, red apples, creamed peaches, toast, mineral notes, vanilla bean, quince, kumquat, and honeydew. This shows off good depth with a rounded quality that is very Coessens, but with a more searching point of view. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and deft with well-integrated, high acidity. The feel shows off some lovely texture and balance while the acidity is persistent and refreshing. |

1/14/2023 - KeithAkers wrote: 92 pointsThis shows off a deep, red/pink color that is striking. The nose serves as a great contrast to the color as it shows off nuance and perfume with strawberries, red fruits, fresh picked berries, blueberries, citrus notes, pears, rose petals, baking spices, biscuits, and a bit of saline. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and silky with crisp, high acidity. The feel is elegant and textured with a more vinuous style that leans into a lengthy finish. |

Nose was warm and toasty but was also borderline cheese like. Palate super minerally and calling out for some sweetness. Overall fine, but out of balance. |

11/13/2023 - Decanting Queen Likes this wine: 91 pointsDrank a single glass each night for several nights. First night was the best but remained very good throughout. Golden yellow in color, good mousse that fades away after an hour in the glass (I was drinking slowly). Nose has delicate aromas of pear and golden apples, some yeasty/toasty notes and the palate was the same. Dosage was just right —some sweetness but not much and not too heavy or rich. |
