4/29/2024 - t_slips Likes this wine: 94 pointsA really impressive Cali cab with Bordeaux style power. Fragrant on the nose displaying loads of dark fruit, spice, mocha and walnut, vanilla and tobacco. Silky smooth tannins and soft acidity. A refreshing finish. I’d buy a case of this! |

4/28/2024 - JAKjr Does not like this wine: 75 pointsThis wine made me think of my old cabin in the woods. Make that the outhouse of the cabin. Something is radically wrong here. Avoid. (Note: this had been stored in my climate controlled Eurocave). |

4/26/2024 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 90 pointsMade in a California more elegant possibly leesy style. It feels rich as it crosses the palate with a broad combination of tropical and orchard fruit. Maybe even some melon. There is very adequate balancing acid but it hits you on the mid palate rather than attack on the entry. Orange and tangerine flavors and aromas. Even some banana. Mild golden color. The pure and expressive tropical fruit lingers for minutes. |

4/13/2024 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 91 pointsBrutally intense dark ripe prune and black cherry nose. Dark purple as wine gets. Full bodied. Plenty of legs. Stains the teeth. Rich and solid. Big dose of oak. Spice and eucalyptus. Mulberry finish. Some how it all balances. Kind of the Prisoner of Paso. Overall dominated by big ripe blackberry and plum. |

4/22/2024 - cono_sur Likes this wine: 93 pointsThis blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Petit Verdot has a fresh, medium-high intensity nose of dried herbs, red & black fruits, currant, cassis, and fine wood spice aromas. On the elegant, medium-full to full-bodied it palate it has spicy aroma replays which are supported by smooth, well-structured tannins and very good acidity. The long, savoury oak finish is firmly structured with youthful, drying tannins. Will be even better in a few years and should drink nicely to the late 2030s. Score: 93+ pts |

4/16/2024 - La Cave d'Argent wrote: 89 pointsThis deep-to-opaque crimson wine is a blend of 77.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15.6% Petit Verdot, 6.5% Merlot and 0.4% Cabernet Franc, aged for eight months in French oak (50% new). Serially tasted over a three-hour period from a bottle that had been popped and poured, it fully opens after the first hour to reveal aromas and flavors of chocolate-covered cherries, mulberries, Asian spices and pipe tobacco. Medium-to-full-bodied, low-to-medium in acidity, seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%) and with fairly well-integrated oak at such an early stage, it wraps its flavors with plentiful sweet tannins, stays solid in the middle and finishes with medium length. This is a very credible "workhorse" Cab from a winery that offers several other bottlings that sell at a significant premium. Drink now-2032. |

4/13/2024 - Dozhdbog Likes this wine: 92 pointsThis wine -so common at markets across California- is really quite good. Heavy notes of cassis and cherry with herbal overtones -oregano and a touch of fennel. The ending is pleasantly secco and works loam and a little tobacco into a long finish. You can taste the skillful use of new French Oak in the barrels. |

4/8/2024 - dpodratsky3 Likes this wine: 91 pointsBold and weighty but not grossly heavy or too sweet. The smoky, oaky, coffee bean note overpowered some of the fruit according to some people in our tasting group but I think once it breaths a bit this settles nicely into a rich example of a CA merlot. |
