Uncork the bottle 1 hour in advance. This is definitely a good wine, no doubt. Tasting note is unnecessary. This drinking nice now. Longer Decanted time will be perfect.

There seems to be two schools of thought among recent reviewers here. I personally think it's in a good spot at the moment; fruit forward, pencil shavings, subtle tobacco notes, nicely balanced/structured. Might get better, sure, but good now too.

At CdB 2014 dinner in HK. Still quite dark purple, nose quite closed despite nearly 3 hours of decanting. Well made and healthy fruit but still seems overwhelmingly tannic on the finish and clearly needs more time. Not quite as elegant as I had hoped for. Give it 2-3 years before approaching again.

Classic Pessac-Léognan. Beautiful with distinct mineral notes. Shows a freshness that indicates a much younger wine than this 2006. Extremely elegant and long.

Tasted at the Chateau. A lovely complex wine!
Medium lemon
Pronounced intensity with aromas/flavors of blossom, meadow flowers, green apples, lemon peel, grape, grass, green leaf, spices and a touch of vanilla, honey & some dried green fruit. Great complexity
On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity, medium alcohol and body. The intensity in pronounced and the quality is outstanding and can drink now potential for aging.

Tasted at the Chateau Young and closed with great prospect for the future. Love this winery
Medium ruby appearance
On the nose the intensity is medium with young fresh floral and black fruit character (Blackcurrants, blue berries, black berries and black plums), herbal notes, leather, some smoke, cedar and vanilla.
On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity and tannins (still tough and a little astringent (pleasant though), medium alcohol and medium + body. The intensity is medium + and the qulaity is very good with hte prospect to be outstanding. It really has the buildingblocks. Can drink now but will improve with aging.

The DDC was a bit more expressive initially but then retreated back into its shell shortly after actually starting to drink it. A pity as the palate was certainly elegant and long enough.

Only bottle from this vintage AND only bottle of white bordeaux from my cellar, so I am not really qualified to talk about this wine of which existence I was reminded by the notes of Chatters.

That said, this bottle paired perfectly with a royal gilthead bream cooked in the oven with vegetables. And yes, once you think about bruised apples in relation to this wine, it's hard not to identify this taste.

Just excellent! Decanted for about 45 min, and it continued to open and improve over the next 1.5 hours. Blackberry, currant, blueberry, quite a bit of oak, some earthy notes, perhaps a touch of graphite, very smooth and became well-integrated after opening up, good acidity, medium-long finish, delicious!

Medium red color with a touch of mahogany. Fragrant licorice, mineral, tobacco, cassis and smoke aromatics. Still has a little grip and tannins. Very concentrated for this property. Enjoyable now. Long aftertaste. Should continue to improve for at least 3 more years. Unusually powerful for this property.
Outperformed my 2020 note.

Purple in color Black cherry, plum, currant, oak Flavor is great, oak, tobacco, blackberries High acidity, gripping tannins, dry and a bit of complexity It's really nice. It reminds me of Smith Haut Lafitte

Wow what a tremendous wine for the price. It delivers all that Domaine de Chevalier is known for yet at a very reasonable price - almost to the point of shocking value from a producer that is already a great value. This allows for earlier drinking when you want a taste of the Grand Vin while it is resting in the cellar. Nice wine!

Opened and poured out a glass and let the bottle site for a few hours. Ready for drinking. I don’t have tremendous experience with aged Bordeaux, but I don’t think this would benefit from further cellaring. Ripe raspberries and eucalyptus flavors. Delicious!

beautiful wine, pure blackcurrant on decanting that developed into a wonderful tobacco depth with a really lovely medicinal cedary finish. Tannins still there but fully resolved.

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc (85%) and Sémillon (15%). Fermented and aged for 18 months in oak barriques (35% new). Bottled in June 2007. 13% alcohol.

Pale lemon-yellow color. The nose feels complex, quite evolved and even very slightly oxidative with aromas of roasted nuts and caramel, some creamy oak tones, a little bit of ripe citrus fruits, light beeswax tones, a hint of burnt sugar and a touch of bruised apple. The wine feels evolved, complex and subtly oxidative on the palate with a medium body and intense flavors of walnuts and woody notes of savory oak spice, a little bit of bruised apple, light pithy grapefruit bitterness, a hint of ripe lemony citrus fruits and a touch of woolly lanolin. The acidity keeps the wine nicely in balance, lending good sense of freshness and some sense of structure to the wine. The finish is long, evolved and slightly oxidative with a nuanced aftertaste of chopped walnuts, some bruised apple, light woody notes of savory oak spice, a little bit of ripe citrus fruits, a hint of browned butter and a touch of stony minerality.

A sophisticated, balanced and quite evolved Bordeaux Blanc at its peak. The wine is not past its peak yet, but the oxidative tones are starting to be present and it feels obvious that the wine is not going to benefit from any further aging. The overall feel was somewhat more aged and tertiary compared to the 2004 vintage I had tasted before and noticeably older compared to the 2008 and 2010 vintages. We tasted this wine next to the 2009 Haut-Bergey Blanc and while the overall style here was less oaky and more classically styled, this wine didn't manage to reach the freshness and intensity of that 2009 Haut-Bergey. All in all, this was a fine and balanced Chevalier, but it hasn't reached the level of the best Chevalier Blancs I've tasted, and - unless we had a prematurely evolved bottle - probably never will.

깔끔한 느낌의 보르도 스타일 이다

가격은 모르지만 적어도 5~6만원 가격이 되어도
충분히 가치가 있을 것 같다!
살짝 영한 느낌은 있지만 시간이 지나면 더 부드럽고
고급스러워 질 것 같다

냉장고에서 며칠 지나니 잔당감이 좀 올라온다
