Not a bad innings for a demi-sec you might think, but this is still a mellow, well-balanced and fresh tasting wine. Atypical vintage of course. Drank from the same glasses we were given at the Foire in exchange for the 1€ entry fee. Perfect with gratin dauphinois. |

Med apple, pear, lemon and cantaloupe, complicated by toast, brioche and blanched almond from lees aging. Dry, with med+ acidity and med alcohol (12%). Crisp, medium bodied, with moderate intensity and length and a pleasant slight bitterness and stony minerality on the finish. A ridiculously good value at $11 at Costco, it is well worth more than twice as much. |
