7/25/2023 - MotherMongo Likes this wine: 88 pointsGood wine to enjoy outside on a warm summer evening. Think the fruit was fading a bit, so I'm glad I opened it now. Don't think it would have made it to next summer. |

6/17/2023 - MotherMongo Likes this wine: 91 pointsColor: Light straw with nice clarity. Aroma was initially acidic, but blew off in a few minutes. Apricots and citrus notes remained. The acid persisted in the taste, but was mellowed out with food. Particularly nice with caprese and shrimp. Not the best QPR out there...at this price, you can do better, but it still was enjoyable. |

8/15/2022 - buffyst Likes this wine: 93 pointsStellar location, superb fruit, small production. This 2016 Pinot Noir from Durell Vineyard (three converging AVAs) is exuberant. Medium body, sweet perfume, high-toned fruit (blackberry, cherry, plum, strawberry), freshness, balance, subtle spice -- it's all here. The Dunstan should continue to exceed expectations for several more years, at least. These folks also make Pinot Noir from the Chehalem Mountains in the Willamette Valley. Recommended. |

12/14/2021 - FundGuy03 Likes this wine: 94 pointsRelative to 2016 + 2017, which were both quite good, the Dunstan 2018 pinot is interesting across more dimensions. It has more minerality than prior years, consistent with prior years it maintains the an understated fruit profile relative to many Sonoma/Napa pinots, and the tannins in the 2018 are slightly more obvious yet still very finely grained. 2018 was a very good year for Dunstan, and for CA pinot in general. |

10/23/2021 - dbgoforth Likes this wine: 92 pointsFirst bottle had 4 years ago and was one of the best bottles ever. I think this bottle peaked before tonight but was still really good. Love the nose, so much going on there. A little darker than your typical Chardonnay but that could also be age. Oak is minor. Smooth finish. Some caramel. Lots of tropical fruit. Felt like it lost some acidity and structure since last bottle. Great vineyard |

4/25/2021 - WineJunkieWest Likes this wine: 90 pointsI personally don't care for the heavy oaked chardonnay's. This lovely elegant Burgundy style chardonnay is just what the doctor should order. Crisp, light oak with hints of honeysuckle and pear. Nicely balanced. |

12/23/2020 - afields wrote: NRThis is relatively fresh and Burgundian for CA Chardonnay. M acid, M body, M concentration. Decently fruity (tart apricot and orangey notes as much as orchard fruit) but with a good amount of funk too. Light oak but not a ton, not buttery. A hint of salt after a while. Reminds me quite a bit of certain oak aged, mixed fermentation American saisons/lighter sour beers. Good with mushroom butter sauce with thyme, sage, lemon zest. 6.6-6.7/10 |

6/25/2019 - mflesh wrote: 90 pointsI think the first bottle was corked slightly, and the second bottle I'm really not sure of either, although it had better aromatics and balance than the first. Mineral driven chardonnay, medium bodied, and a nice wine to drink with lighter fare. More of a honeydew and melon kind of palate here. I would not put this one against any food that had sauce or spice, as it would be quickly drowned out. But if drinking wine while poolside is the MO, this wine would fill in nicely. |
