May 2022 Disgorgement. Light and small to medium sized bubbles. Very light nose - citrus oil, minerals, a bit of rubber band. After a bit, I get a fresh wet grass note on the nose. Light bodied, tart, and easy drinking. Palate of lemons, limes, underripe nectarines/peaches, seashells, and a bit of yeast. Medium-short finish starts off with tart nectarine skin and peach pit and then shifts to a spiced lime, seashell, and saline leaving the palate refreshed.

For $15, this is a pretty good value.

Medium intensity, apple, pear, lemon, quinine, bready
Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (-) alcohol (11.5%), medium body, creamy mousse, medium intensity and finish
Balanced, Fresh.

Made some seafood paella and this was a great match. The bubbles were fine and cut through the spicy and smoky paprika, while complementing the shellfish with citrus notes and tart green apple. Great length, the tiniest amount of sweetness. Golden raspberries and white flowers on the nose. Superb for the price!

disgorged 02/18. Almost exact same blend as Raventos i Blanc's de Nit, but more fruity and rich, and maybe ultimately more flavorful. All that is expertly balanced by some austerity and non-fruit/yeast/mineral notes. Confidant and classy. 88-89

my second bottle of this wine, disgorged 3/17, same as my first, but from a different online retailer. On both nose and palate there's a really strong dried spice (coriander? black cardamom?) presence that makes me think of Indian curry. Pretty off-putting to me. Maybe a flawed bottle.

also noticed the DO sticker indicates it's regular Cava instead of Reserva, but according to importer this spends 18 months on lees.

have two bottles from this retailer (wine.com) and the second one smells and tastes the same. Both flawed i think.

C: I like my brut extra brut i would use this for cocktails. Drink now. Its acceptable quality. Fairly balanced but LIC are lacking.

Tasted blind. Clear, bright, pale straw with a green hue. The nose is clean, medium in intensity, youthful, with apple, tart pear and wet stone aromas. The palate is very dry, with medium (+) acidity and medium (-) alcohol (11.5%). Light-bodied, with a medium-long, pleasant, slightly bitter finish. Drink now, not intended for aging.

Apple mineral nose with big bubbles. Youthful palate with leesy toast and lemon peach fruit. Became drier as the evening progressed. Had with chinese sea food at a noisy karaoke banquet. Funny moment was when a table guest asked for a pour, then without tasting it she straightaway mixed ginger ale with it.

Prima Bubbles! For little money a lot Cava enjoyment. Beautiful red in the glass, already in the fragrance there is a subtle breeze of strawberry and raspberry. In the taste quite dry and lucky no plastic flavor but a slight but fine natural berry flavor. Carbonic acid is pleasantly fine pearly and slightly foamy. In the body more easily, the fruit acid is perceptible, but not unpleasant. All the magic is quickly over,but it remains a very pleasant memory of a great purchase!

Prima Bubbles! Für wenig Geld ganz viel Cava Genuss. Schönes rot im Glas, und schon im Duft kommt eine feine Brise von Erdbeere und Himbeere. Im Geschmack ziemlich trocken und zum Glück keine Plastik-Aromen sondern ein leichter aber feiner Beerengeschmack. Die Kohlensäure ist angenehm feinperlig und leicht schäumend. Im Körper eher leicht, die Fruchtsäure ist wahrnehmbar, aber nicht unangenehm. Der ganze Zauber ist auch rasch vorbei, es bleibt eine sehr angenehme Erinnerung an eine super Kauf!
