It’s now owned by the same group that owns Viña San Pedro and Tarapacá in Chile. About 80% in used French and American oak. 20% concrete. From their own vineyard “ La Consulta.” Although not the most powerful nose, there’s nice fresh fruit, dried herbal notes and a bit of floral notes. The palate is medium bodied and silky with medium acidity. Soft tannins. Notes of Earl Grey tea. Just enough fruit to drink on its own, but food-friendly with its soft-texture, savory-herbal side and decent acidity. |

I enjoyed it, had it two evenings in a row, but am at a loss to say anything else about it. The label says that it has a rather incredible 15.2% alcohol content, and is surprisingly smooth considering. |
