The flavors are still good, with both raspberries and cranberries tannins. The wine drops off a bit too quickly. At $85, I would expect a bit more life. The grenache dominated with bright fruit flavors and the blend was delicious, especially good with lunch fare. An excellent bottle of wine, to be sure, but I was not wowed as JD was with a 95 point rating. At $80 a bottle the Q/P/V for this wine is not strong for me. |

The bottle was opened for about 45 minutes before we started enjoying it. And it was indeed, very enjoyable. 51% syarh; 27% mourvedre; 22% grenache. Really nice balance between the three varietals. The syrah was certainly predominant, but the the other two added luscious harmonies to the trio. |
