This will never be confused for a white Burgundy, it does not have nuanced layers of flavors. What it does have is a bunch of upfront fruit, some of it not necessarily typical to Chardonnay, like pineapple and banana. The flavor is almost like orange juice with some other tropical fruit. There is enough balancing acidity to make it credible. The mouth feel is pretty thick, it probably is not totally dry. Clean, fresh and tasty, though not necessarily what we expect from Chardonnay. |
