3/4/2024 - hrazdiiv Likes this wine: 92 pointsA well made bottle that still has a nice life ahead of it. Currently a medium-dark golden brown color. Nose shows very well with wonderful aromas of apricot, ripe pineapple and candied lemon. Even better was the palate and the finish as the winemaker somehow manages an ever so slightly savory finish of salted caramel to emerge. Very pleasant and interesting. What knocked a point or two off for me, however, was the lack of acidity which others seemed to find but I thought was wholly absent, thus making the wine a bit one dimensional. Still - really delicious, and the weighty viscosity lends itself to a nice long finish. Great producer. Don’t buy this in 200ml format, it’s not enough! |

1/3/2024 - Double-A Likes this wine: 90 pointsMedium-intensity purple/ruby colour. Highly aromatic, polished plum, black cherry, coffee, cocoa, and toasty oak nose. Ripe, fresh, and juicy palate; medium-bodied with marked acidity and supple tannins; there is some perception of sweetness on the mid-palate, but the finish is dry, toasty and youthful. |

11/26/2023 - JohnSh wrote: 90 pointsHazy notes from last night. This started out with a blast of somewhat sweet fruit (a combination of citrus and stonefruit) and then became dry or perhaps just barely off dry on the nice sleek finish. Some minerality on show too on this medium bodied riesling. Always a well made wine with good QPR (B+/A-). |

11/8/2023 - Double-A Likes this wine: 93 pointsBlackberry, olive, smoke, toast, and raisin nose. Ripe, round palate with good flavours and distinction; at first it hints at being off-dry, but the acid and tannin keep it comfortably in the dry-finishing realm. |

4/12/2023 - cono_sur Likes this wine: 92 pointsCrafted with 100% Chardonnay that was partially barrel fermented and then aged for 54 months on the lees, it has an elegant, complex, and highly aromatic nose of citrus, lemon, smoky, flint, autolytic, biscuit, ripe apple and pear aromas. It's medium-full bodied and dry on the palate with lovely smoky, clayey, earthy flavours mingling with lemony citrus and peach notes. It has crisp, clean acidity and a fine, beaded mousse. The finish is long, clean, and fresh. |

10/14/2023 - SH Wu Likes this wine: 80 pointsI had never quite drank a wine like this. Dried cranberries and blackberries stew with clove, coffee grounds, leather and wet leaves. Menthol and eucalyptus keep the palate fresh. The tannins have softened, but aren't fine, like a well-worn cotton t-shirt. |
