Served a bit too warm, this generic white has a very full and floral bouquet. Very creamy texture, full-bodied white, some acidity though mainly exotic fruits - lime in particular - dominate. Very neutral finish.

Drink. Certainly not made to be saved.

Not bad. Very drinkable. Made for sipping or very simple dishes. Plenty of fruit, albeit a bit sweet. Some pepper, touch of tannins, very little acidity. Definitely not meant for aging. Drink now or within next 12-24 months. Overall 85-86, nice for the price.

Medium purple with some browning at the edges, this wine revealed plum, dark red fruits and white pepper on the nose. The mouth feel was medium-bodied with more red fruits, graphite and spices coming out. The finish was short and the acidity didn't balance well with the fruit and tannins, leaving a harsh, a medicinal taste. 13.5% abv.

Purchased for $8US, this isn't a wine I'd purchase again. The value was outstanding but there are too many other better wines from CDR to drink mediocre ones like this.

Nothing changed from my 2015 tasting except that this time it was P&P with no decanting. Still a nice QPR. My last known bottle.

Very interesting blend. Coconuty, nice level of acidity, fresh, tinkle on the tongue (spicy?), ripe exotic fruit, Stone fruits, soft on the tongue, round, easy drinking
Viognier seemed dominant on day 1, but Chardonnay is definitely dominant on day 2. Cheese caky

To the nose, red fruit (strawberry > cherry> raspberry) and honeydew melon. On the palate, same fruit but cherry = raspberry > strawberry) plus melon. Very, very slight orange rind at midpoint. Great minerality and acidity, even slightly salty. Fuller than a Provence, but less than Tavel or CUNE. Moderate length for a rose. Alcohol seems slightly high for average rose - nailed it at 13.5%. Very good and refreshing. Had it with swordfish and salmon, and it held up against the wild salmon.
Overall, very, very good rose and excellent QPR.

We drank this on Burns night, with haggis, buttery mashed potatoes and sweet carrots. Fine, big, fruity, spicy flavours more than a match for the sometimes-fiery haggis. Rich and succulent and untroubled by much tannin.

This is definitely not one of the best wines that the Côtes-du-Rhône appellation can offer, but with some robust or rustic meat stew it is a quite nice red wine to drink. The spiciness gives the wine character and makes it interesting.

This is a decent entry-level CdR. It has a relatively light style, but its aroma and flavor palette is typical for the region. The wine goes well with many kind of food.

Takes Cote du Rhone to a higher stage. Dumb aroma, faintly dusky rose (typical C.D.R) then a blast of taste; complex mix of capsicum, garrigue herbs, southern Rhone red wine, sun on hot stones.

This is very good indeed. Certainly not a 'fine' wine, but definitely a superb example of a French country wine.

A very good wine for the price, and typical for the region.

The color is still slightly violet, blueish. The mouthfeel is fresh, delicious and balanced with some red berry flavors and spicy rustic cut. The body is Medium with a decent but by no means overly fruitiness. An excellent everyday wine.

Surprisingly decent for a £7 quaffer - very much Rhone but toned down. Good acidity and freshness - herby red fruit with enough depth to make this interesting. One for quaffing, and certainly much better than most new world alternatives at the same price.

This seems about ready to drink, perhaps at peak, and tastes within the Cotes du Rhone norms.

Consistent with prior bottle. Hefty dose of chalky minerality on the nose. Tangy citrus hits the palate first, with maybe some green apple as well. The finish brings honeydew melon rind. Lingers playfully for a good minute or so.

Color:
Gorgeous dark plum-like purple.

Nose:
Abundant cherries and blueberries with a hint of plum coming through after a good swirl.

Taste:
Initial attack of cherries and blueberries continued to evolve through the mid-palate with other dark fruits showing slightly. The tannins balanced this wine well, but unfortunately the silky finish ended abruptly, leaving me wanting a bit more.

This wine comes with an in-built, free mind-wiper - you drink the wine, put the glass down and have no discernible recollection of what it is you just tasted. "Hmm, what is this in front of me?" you say, and pick up the glass, drink it, put it down and the memory is wiped clean and you see a glass in front of you and say "Hmm, what is this in front of me?" and pick up the glass .... etc etc etc

Best described as "wine", nothing more.

Bright and minerally with a shot of lemon at the front of the palate. Goes deeper and takes on rounder flavors of melon. Smooth medium body. Enjoyable.

I loved the 07 vintage of this wine for the price. While the 07 showed some meat, pepper, red fruits and nice acidity, this bottle seemed more black fruited, riper and a little less complex. This note is based on one glass drank over a short period of time. Because this wine is available for less than 10 bucks, I'll pick another up and give it another chance.

Clear deep brick with a hint of purple. Tight, needs time. Opens eventually to dark, ripe red fruit, candied flowers and licorice. Initially tart red fruit on the palate (cran-raspberry) opening to plum; medium bodied w/ a medium finish. Overall decent, but unspectacular.

Drank with beef bourgogne. This bottle showed more simply than previous bottle with ripe black and berry fruits. I didn't get as much meat and pepper in this bottle and it seemed a little more flabby than other bottles. Not bad really, but very simple.
