Perhaps a bad vintage because I recall typically enjoying the Renaissance Merlot but it seems out of balance with too much heat and not enough fruit. |

I first tried this wine maybe 15 years ago and even though it was a bit pricey for me I gave it a go. It did not disappoint then and certainly not today either. The Cachet #5 is what I had today and paired with the King of Steaks. SUPERB! At $85 it's not cheap but we'll worth it. |
