I've had a fair share from Spain.) Very enjoyable stuff, plump and round with some decent complexity and energy. I'm not always into the combination of bright red fruit and high alcohol (especially with zinfandel) but there was enough going on here that it really worked. Nicely perfumed nose with framboise, strawberry preserves, cedar, and a touch of curry spice. Smells rich and fruity, but definitely not a jammy fruit bomb. Big and balanced. Same on the palate, elegant silky tannin, decent acidity, very pretty red fruit with touches of baking spice. It's not an incredibly vibrant or complex wine but feels really well-made for the price. |

This one drinks at the very top of it's price point, but no higher. But for $25 it's pretty good. Not as BIG as some PS's I've had, but those were a lot more expensive. Fruit, some good herbs, licorice. Great Monday night wine. Drink now, or hold 3 years. |
