12/29/2022 - blaine Likes this wine: NRStill seems youthful, big dose of oak on the nose and palate. No sign of age. Note to self-wait 5 years on this (2027) |

12/12/2022 - VinoHunter Likes this wine: 89 pointsDecanted for two hours and put back into the bottle. Nose was dark and rich. The wine was tight for almost an hour after pouring in the the glass. Once it finally opened it was deep and rich, but the finish was too quick. |

6/12/2022 - VinoHunter Likes this wine: 89 pointsWinery says to drink this vintage this year. I would agree. It has some good dark fruit, but it is showing too much age. |

3/13/2022 - wagonwine Likes this wine: 92 pointsAgree with others. Hardly showing age, especially visually. Excellent Left Bank nose - pencil lead, cigar box, dusted blue and black fruits. Aromatically compelling with nice intensity, while the pallet showcases cohesion that has likely come from time in bottle. |

Plenty of structure for you structure whores. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

4/18/2024 - oakville72 Likes this wine: 92 pointsA ball buster — please excuse the French. Still tannic and straightforward. No subtlety involved. I think this wine will last forever. 1 person found this helpful, do you? Yes - No / Comments (1) |

1/3/2022 - wayne530 wrote: 89 pointsPrimarily black fruit on the nose, vanilla, spice. On the palate, reasonably well-integrated tannins, but a bit heavy handed on the new French oak. Decent every night drinker and good QPR at ~$25/bottle. |

1/3/2022 - oakville72 Likes this wine: 90 pointsVery different from the very California-style 2009 and 2010 vintages. This one is more like a Cabernet Sauvignon-heavy Médoc, i.e., less over-the-top fruit. Only medium-opaque in color, shy in the nose, restrained, balanced in terms of acidity and tannins. Needs time to open up. |

1/3/2023 - oakville72 Likes this wine: 90 pointsJust one year exactly since I first tasted this wine. Still austere. No telling when this Cab will be fully mature, provided the fruit holds. |

1/2/2022 - oakville72 Likes this wine: 90 pointsInky dark with still vibrant color. For some reason, I could find absolutely no nose in this, despite being decanted and given plenty of air. Flavors are definitely Region 2-3 California, with lots of sweet Cabernet fruit, soft finish and a bit of tannin. Still in very good shape and should hold for a few more years. Tastes great but the absence of aroma is odd. |

2/22/2019 - VoVo Likes this wine: 89 pointsWe received this wine as a gift and enjoyed it over a pizza dinner. It is an assertive but not overpowering Cabernet. It still has some time on it—we found it somewhat more tannic than we enjoy. It is a less-ripe Cab style with some minerality but without dominant pyrazine. |
