Features that incredibly delicious, vivid, and mouthwatering taste that makes Riesling a strong candidate for the greatest white wine made. Comes from a terraced vineyard with a 70 degree slope, far too steep for getting in any machinery, and cultivated only by hand labor. |

More importantly, this 2011 is a fine illustration how rich a wine can be when made from later harvested grapes. Pale yellow with an inviting nose of Winesap apple and lemon/lime citrus. Excellent concentration and at only 9.5% alcohol, shows a very tasty residual sugar that is perfectly balanced by high acidity that makes it never cloying, which also gives the wine a creamy texture. You can leave this screwcap bottle in the frig for a month and it would taste lively and delicious every day poured. |

11/11/2021 - chcook Likes this wine: NRPNP. Cork perfect. Color is dark amber. This is fully mature and is supported by the underlying acid and RS. unctuous and on the heavier side. Besides the oxidative notes the dominant fruit for me was pineapple. This was great with Chinese food tonight. Would tame spice handily. |

Lovely acidity and mouth feel. Fairly sweet and still plenty of primary flavors despite nearly 20 years old. Should remain in this drinking window for at least 5 to 7 years. Tasted just as good on day three in the refrigerator. |
