Opened at our anniversary dinner along with a 1982 Haut Brion (our friends contribution) which we figured would be the best paring. Sommelier decanted both and we offered a pour to him. He took the HB first and disappeared into the kitchen to share with the chef. On his return he prounounced it a classic Haut Brion and a fabulous wine. The four of us agreed. He then took the Lake back to taste and came come back to say " I have no words for that wine but WOW". We agreed it was one of if not the best CA cabernets we have ever had and amongst the four of us we have had more than a few great ones.
