3/2/2010 - kgmobley wrote: 91 pointsSolid effort. The wine has entered a feminine stage where the baby fat is falling off. The wines has years a head of it and 3 or 4 more years would be good for better integration. The wines came together after about an hour of air. I really enjoyed the wine with some Thai appetizers. |

2/17/2010 - kgmobley wrote: 93 pointsThe sweet fruit is amazing. The wine needs to served at 60 degrees. At 80 the wine shows it's alcohol. 2004 was a hot year and this wine has a hell of a wallop of fruit and stature. It needs another 5 years for the fruit to shave off the baby fat. The wine is delicious, it has to be arved at the correct temp. |

2/3/2010 - kgmobley wrote: 98 pointsThis was a mind blowing pinot. The wine kept giving and giving. Temp served was mid 60s. The aromatics on the nose was layered -- benefit of the inclusion of whole clusters. The nose was filled with mushrooms, earth, red fruit and pine sap. On the taste buds, the minerals and depth of fruit was killer. Wine had a broad flavor profile, yet an incredibly focused spine. The wine continued to open up over the course of 3 hours. This wine has 15 to 20 years left and should evolve over the next 10 to 15 and hold after that. |

This wines is a baby and has many, many years ahead of it. It took about an hour to open up to show its character. The wine continued to evolved for the next 3 hours until the last drop was consumed. |

After 90 minutes in the decanter, the wine had transformed into a rich, delicious and sexy wine. This wine was tasted side by side with a 2004 William Seylem Rocholli. Both wines offer a different expression of Pinot Noir. Where the WS was expressive in the nose and had amazing layers of complex red fruit, the Pisoni was reached deep into my soul and seduced me with beautiful chewy black fruits. This wine has many years of development left and will be fun to revisit over time. |
