Wonderful in the palette, and a rich after taste. Enjoyed with chicken piccata (lemon, capers) and also a piquant noodle dish with prawns sweet peppers and chilis. Enjoy this wine with rich foods like salmon. A muscular, but loveable wine. |

Tasted with three cheeses (rustic creamy blue, goat brie, and dry pecorino), herbed honey and a dollop of spiced quince paste, and a apple gelee with a touch of cinnamon. Slight chocolate, caramel, dark golden color like a amontillado sherry, and the tiniest (delightful) bit of wood and smoke. Great acid and sugar balance to mask the higher alcohol - so one could enjoy the flavors without cloying sugars. I wanted to nurse this for much, much longer and find some chocolate ganache. |
