Lovely fruit-forward wine, with delicious fruit (dried cherries, pomegranate) and slight mineral connection to the earth - all hiding the high alcohol(14.5%). Enjoyed with roasted pork loin, roasted potatoes and carrots with herbs. Get more - drink over the next 5 years.

Enjoyed this cab with a med-rare filet mignon, wild rice pilaf, and steamed asparagus (with carrot shavings). chocolate mousse cakes for dessert.
This wine has very soft tannins, and a pleasant savory taste - not earthy - but rich in cocoa/mocha and blueberries. On the palate, lots of fun flavors in every part of the mouth, with friendly fruit and aromas. I wish I had more.

Wonderful, fruity, complex wine. After over a decade, bright fruit and a great expression of both fruit and terroire from Anderson Valley. Had with eggplant parmigiana, and a torte with dark chicken meat, sausages, apricots and apples. Totally yummy. Red berries, strawberries. Enjoy with anything. When is Anderson Valley going to receive its due?

A lovely wine coming into its own after a decade. Softer tannins, mild fruit. Enjoyed with: eggplant parmigiana, and a "winter torte" (Chicken dark meat, chicken sausages, apricots and apples in a bread -crust pie). Not a fruit bomb. Would have enjoyed more fruit and complexity, but an usual touch to the earth.

Wonderful, classic California chardonnay. A bit of oak, wonderfully rich and luscious fruit, glycerin and vanilla/caramel. Wonderful in the palette, and a rich after taste. Enjoyed with chicken piccata (lemon, capers) and also a piquant noodle dish with prawns sweet peppers and chilis. Enjoy this wine with rich foods like salmon. A muscular, but loveable wine.

Stunning dessert wine. Tasted with three cheeses (rustic creamy blue, goat brie, and dry pecorino), herbed honey and a dollop of spiced quince paste, and a apple gelee with a touch of cinnamon. Slight chocolate, caramel, dark golden color like a amontillado sherry, and the tiniest (delightful) bit of wood and smoke. Great acid and sugar balance to mask the higher alcohol - so one could enjoy the flavors without cloying sugars. I wanted to nurse this for much, much longer and find some chocolate ganache.

Had with pasta and lobster bits with a piquant seasoning. A nicely balanced and enjoyable wine, with a softer feel on the palate than other Nero d'Avola I've tried. Still, after 30 minutes, the wine seemed less bright and the fruit fading from sunny to savory. The strong food kept me from tasting specific flavors - alas - because this wine may have many. Enjoyable to have again for under $20.

Enjoyed with grilled scallops with musky fungi and roasted parsnips. Started closed, but blossomed wonderfully over 30 minutes. Bright fruit, light tannins with classic CA pinot flavors: cherries, berries and more fruit than earth. Not a classic burg, but sumptuous flavors - a truly wonderful wine - would love to have more.

Wonderful, dry, food friendly wine. Very light color, acid and fruit, but in fine balance. Tasted with grilled octopus with (lightly) pickled onions and arugula. Superb pairing, as the light fruit and minerality, plus very slight smoke from the wine blended with the food. A perfect bottle to introduce chardonnay hounds to a great food wine.

Perhapsa poor(er) man's Barolo. Lots of red fruit flavors – cherries, berries, some savory notes – and a lighter style compared to many "world" reds. Beautiful balance of fruit, terrior, and tannin - so the high alcohol seems 1% lower. One very enjoyable, very food-friendly wine.
