1/2/2021 - mfkantor Likes this wine: 95 pointsThis was incredible. Opened for New Years 2021 after a long year. Dark ruby core with medium bricking at the edges. Color was much darker than expected. Decanted and had strong earthy notes. After an hour it really opened up and evolved over the course of three hours. Tannins fully resolved but still had fruit left. Earthy notes with red fruit on the palate. Stunning and could go another few years. |

2/14/2016 - mfkantor wrote: 94 pointsThis was phenomenal. Nicely aged and could have gone a few more years pretty easily. Subtle notes of tobacco and cassis. Earthiness, gravel/graphite, and hints of bramble. Nicely balanced with a long, velvety finish. |

8/24/2015 - mfkantor wrote: 92 pointsAwesome wine. Cherry and tobacco. A bit of brickish color but not as much in some of the other bottles. Tannins seemed a bit firm at the end still. Makes me think it can go a bit longer. Overall a very nice, complex aged wine. |

4/10/2015 - mfkantor Likes this wine: 90 pointsActually a pretty decent bottle given the price. Dark, garnet red. A bit restrained on the nose but opened a bit with time for more red fruit and floral notes. Red and black fruit on the palate but mostly a strong sour cherry profile. Decent finish with an abrupt ending. Did not let it rest much after shipping and looking forward to trying more in the next 1-2 years. Great QPR. |

3/21/2015 - mfkantor Likes this wine: 92 pointsA great wine and value. Decanted about 2 hours. Brickish in color. Fruit still pops with cherry, a bit of leather, earth, and mushroom. Nicely softened tannins. Makes you want to come back for more. Perhaps a bit more sour cherry than the '96. Great stuff. |

2/14/2015 - mfkantor wrote: 92 pointsA really exceptional wine, especially for the price. Aged bordeaux, decanted for 2 hours and drank over another 1.5 hrs. and opened nicely. Brickish with a dark maroon color. Some earthy notes early that gave way to much more fruit and floral elements. Nice finish, probably has some time left but drinking nicely. |

2/8/2015 - mfkantor wrote: 92 pointsThis was a great wine. Cork was totally fine for me. Decanted for about 45 minutes to an hour before pouring. Full, round dark fruit. Not overwhelming California style cab, more classic and very balanced. Tannins mellowed but still enough structure. Lots of life left and have another bottle that I will keep for a few years. |
