Day One...TIGHT, not letting much up on the nose except for smelling like freshy ground wheat flour, a little lilac and a touch of brininess but very muted. Where did my bacon go...no meat, no smoke?

Day two.... Opened up a little on day two. I am not going to score this one. Off Bottle

Dark Purple in color with a nose like concord grape juice! If I was blindfolded I would think I was smelling welchs! The welchs is followed by candied blackberries, currants and vanilla. Thick and glycerine like in the mouth with plums and anise. Finish is tannic and astringent, almost like coffee! What a great $26 dollar cab!

Wow very lush for a $22 dollar pinot. Drank beside and siduri willamette valley and this blew it out of the water. Very california in style, translucent purple in color, fruit forward with cherry and marionberry. Finished long with a little white pepper and oak. Screaming deal!

Great nose of peppered bacon, blue berry pancakes cooked over a campfire. Dark fruits, olives(kalamata?), and fresh flowers on the palate. Finishes with great acidity and structure. Damn tasty..........

Much more floral on the second day! Lost some of its smokiness and smoothed out. Wow

Muted on the nose for the first hour and a half then opened up to smoke and blueberries. Gobs of fruit followed by spice and good acidity. Not quite as good as the 2005 but a good bottle of wine especially $25.
