3/24/2018 - JLuv04 Likes this wine: 89 pointsOverall an enjoyable bottle of wine. For the price point however, there are other wines which could easily rival it. Nice fruit notes on the palette, but not any extreme depth or complexity to this Cab. |

2012 Spring Valley Vineyard Syrah Nina LeeWalla Walla Valley more |
10/29/2017 - JLuv04 Likes this wine: 91 pointsInterestingly, I tried the 2010 Nina Lee and the 2012 Nina Lee simultaneously. While both wines were good, the 2012 was superior to the 2010. The 2012 held vivacous fruit notes that were elegant, yet pronounced. While the entrance was fruity the overall tannin structure was smooth and wonderfully elongated. I found that many notes regarding the 2010 were gratuitous, however I would personally recommend the '12 as if this current date. |

10/29/2017 - JLuv04 Likes this wine: 89 pointsWhile this was a very good bottle of wine, it doesn't compare with the 2012 Nina Lee. Both bottles were opened simultaneously and it's fair to say that the 2010 wasn't near the quality of wine in comaparison to the 2012. For all of those who scored this bottle over 90 points, I would urge you to reconsider your score after trying the 2012. |

2015 Browne Family Vineyards Sauvignon BlancColumbia Valley more |
10/25/2016 - JLuv04 Likes this wine: 90 pointsNose of Nectarine, Pineapple, with hints of Guava. Srong notes of Peach dominate with subtle hints of Sour Green Grape and Sour Apple. The powerful acidity and balanced fruit notes make this wine food pairing worthy. This wine is sure to be a hit during warm weather get togethers. |

The overall structure of the wine probably won't get you amazing ohhh's and ahhh's, but is solid enough to certainly be served to guests. This wine needs some time to open up and soften. The wine definitely improved after letting it breathe overnight. The nose is light tobacco, spice, with hints of blackberry jam. Tasted subtle hints of nutmeg, tart blackberry, and notes of velvety earth. The finish is smooth (after breathing) with balanced acidity. |

10/8/2016 - JLuv04 wrote: 89 pointsJammy notes (both nose and palate). Upon opening the wine had tasting notes of tart blackberry and strawberry rhubarb. This wine definitely needs to decant for several hours. It's very acidic, but has some depth and structure when revisiting it after several hours. I am a big fan of Mercer wines, but this one left me somewhat unimpressed. |
