Deep ruby in color. Slow, thick legs.

Lots of earth and mineral on the nose. Tobacco. Dark fruit

On the palate there is tobacco, ripe Plum, and black cherry. Velevety mouthfeel with some tight tannins on the finish. Good acidity. Very well balanced. Lovely reserva. It’s been a while since I’ve had a Rioja. This was a nice welcome back.

Really lovely off-dry Riesling.

Golden straw color. Apples, honey, and jasmine on the nose. Honey crisp apple with a bright lemon-lime finish on the palette and the finish has some staying power.

Slightly sweet, but not cloying, which is because of the really nice acidity.

Unbelievable pairing with Szechuan stir fry and brown rice. The sweet heat from the Szechuan is matched perfectly with the sweetness, the acidity cuts through the oils.

Medium ruby in color. Thick slow legs. Cherry, tobacco, ripe blackberry, spice, a touch of earthiness on the finish.

Really beautiful wine. Young, fruity, and bright. Dry, medium acidity, medium-high tannin, a little bit alcoholic, but not so high that it feels unbalanced.

Paired very well with turkey sausage and ricotta red sauce lasagna. Would definitely buy again.

Definitely not the plush and fruity style gamay that I am used to.

Medium ruby in color. Floral and earthy notes. Good acidity, med-low tannin.

Paired well with balsamic chicken breasts and Brussels sprouts

An interesting wine. Would likely purchase again.

One of my favorite Albariños. Perfectly pairs with seafood paella. We also have had it with shrimp and chorizo tacos, which also made a nice pairing.

Excellent citrus and stone fruits, a touch of salinity and stoney earthiness.

Light straw in color, well balanced, easy summer sipper with or without food.

No formal notes done. Wasn’t terrible, paired well with the weeknight stir fry I make. I think the QPR was a tad expensive for quality. There are similarly priced fry reislings that are more flavorful and better balanced.

Incredible dry Riesling. Light straw color. Fruit and floral notes, like peaches, apricot, and jasmine. Incredible acidity. Light body.

Paired incredibly well with Chinese style stir fry.

Light ruby in color. Beautiful aromas of fruit and flowers. Light bodied, light tannins. Well balanced, super smooth finish with a nice long finish.

Excellent for vegetarian dishes and lighter fare. Maybe poached salmon or a pan seared Arctic char, or an olive oil and garlic based pizza or pasta dish with fresh tomatoes. Would be a great summer red.

I cannot recommend this wine enough. If you’re lucky enough to have a shop that stocks it, grab a couple of bottles. No doubt one of the best gamays I’ve ever tasted.

Yeasty, heavier bodied and cider-like. More earthy than fruity. Good acidity, alcohol was a touch high from a balance perspective.

Overall a really nice bubbly from one of my favorite shops. Would definitely buy again to pair with brunch.

Love this orange wine. Light and fruity with notes of stone fruits. Perfect for spring weather drinking. Good acidity, well balanced. Enough tannin to give it a little body.

Unfortunately, I did not take detailed notes, but it’s certainly a bottle I would re-order from Lumen or be happy to receive in my club delivery any time.

I did not make detailed notes. However, I will say this is the most “California” in style of all the Lumen PNs in that is heavier bodied and has more of the baked fruit/spiciness associated with appellations like RRV.
Certainly not as light and elegant as the Presqu’ile Vinyard, which is my favorite. Nowhere near as astringent as the Sierra Madre.

Still a good quality wine and if you like that style, you will like this one.

Light in color, thin legs
A little bit of fruit, but mostly I get a lot of dusty, earthy notes from this wine.

Paired fabulously with a mushroom pizza with fontina cheese!

Good acidity and balance. Gentle tannins.

Highly recommend if you want good bang for your buck Pinot.

Deep purple in color.

Dark berries, chocolate, some herbal notes as well.

Smooth, low-med tannins, balanced. Slightly alcoholic.

First time I’ve had a carmenere. Was quite good.
