Delicious - drunk after 1 1/2 hours decanting and with fantastic 28 day hung ribeyes as a celebration of my son's birth (1st day back from hospital!). Rich, mulberry and damson with hints of earth. Unmistakably St Estephe. I reckon this is absolutely at its peak right now. Very good indeed.

I couldn't agree more with the previous note from robertek. This wine is really coming into its own. A year or so go, tasted all tough tannins, with a bizarre overriding perfume of stewed tomatoes. Now, decidedly delicious. In the first hour a veritable cornucopia of unfolding perfumes and flavours, among them roasted arabica coffee, pencil shavings, burnt toast, sweet licorice, black currant. Fabulous - and real value for money. This was less than a tenner (£s) a bottle when originally bought (about 4 years ago).

Delicious raspberry, redcurrant touch of cassis slightly sweet - but not big... well balanced lightish. Very good.

great balance - honeysuckle on the nose - lemony tropical fruit flavours, slightly oily texture hint of petrol, touch of earth.. Really good. Still drinking very well with some acidity. I'd add at least a couple of more years to the drink by considering this is drink by 2008 - more like 2011 -2012. Very enjoyable.

Light yellow - high acidity, citrus, lime with kids 'sweet cigarette' flavours on the finish. Disappointing - nothing like the complexity of the 2002 with all it's fresh garden peas, asparagus deliciousness. Would be nice in summer with shellfish seafood but the high acidity would suggest to me that it needs more time to develop (certainly more than the suggested 2010 drink date I feel
