  • 2021 Bella Oaks Vineyard Proprietary Red

Deep color. Notes of mocha and spice with a mix of red and blue fruit aromas. Plush tannins with flavors of black fruit, mocha, blueberry and chocolate. Full-bodied with fine, elegant tannins and a long finish. The fruit is perfectly ripe and carries the finish...clearly young and in need of a few years in the cellar. From 2029+.

  • 2017 Bella Oaks Vineyard Proprietary Red

A blend of 88% cabernet sauvignon, 11% cabernet franc and 1% petite verdot, again co-fermented. Deep inky opaque color. A captivating bouquet with black currant, graphite, bay leaf and plum, developing floral elements as it breathes in the glass. Full-bodied and plush, with medium tannins and flavors of cassis, mocha, blue fruit and sage. Long finish. Mineral, lavender and mocha elements with more air. Just a lovely wine, and among the three, the one I kept going back to. 94-95 pts.

  • 2021 Bella Oaks Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Le Génie

A blend of 80% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc and 10% petite verdot, all co-fermented. This bottle had been decanted for a couple of hours before we tasted it. Deep inky color. Aromas of vanilla, violet, kirsch and cherry cordial. Wonderful silky mouthfeel, with flavors of currants, black cherry, chocolate and mocha. Tannins are very fine not at all obtrusive despite this being so young. There's a subtle hint of vanilla on the long finish. With air this develops a subtle herbaceous quality which is very appealing. 93+ pts.

7/22/2023 12:39:00 PM - AR....sounds like a fun time! I've had numerous bottles of the '07. It is my fav vintage to date though the '08 which you can NEVER find was neck and neck right there with it. Hope you have a great time!
