Dark berries and chocolate. Strong tannins, complex wine. We enjoyed it!

Good bottle of wine - a little thin and light, better with food.

Thin and lacking fruit. This would be a good wine if it cost $18.

Boring wine. Decent fruit but "hot" - very weak finish.

Tobacco and cigar with a hint of cherry. Possible that it is already past it's prime? Smooth and paired well with veal and pasta dinner.

Decanted for 3 hours - very tannic out of the bottle. Dark fruit, chocolate and spice, mouth coating finish. Paired well with pasta with prosciutto and smoked pepper cream sauce. Will probably wait a year or two to open the next bottle.

Nice bottle of wine that paired nicely with our "Cowporken" (Beef stuffed with sausage.) Found this bottle to be very light on the fruit and hardly the "roller coaster" of flavors as described by WS. Nose and after taste of old leather out of the bottle that gave way to coffee and spice after 3 hours of decanting.
