En klassisk Bdx vänstra stranden av medelgod kvalitet och komplexitet. Jag önskar att jag hade fler kvar av dem i mognadsmörkret.

Leather and pinetree aromas with remniscent black berries. Acidity still present, tannins are polished. The taste is a bit thin and short, unable to hide a lesser year.

Opened 2 hours before and followed over an hour. Dark garnet. Cassis, plum, eucalyptus, tobacco and a faint game note on the nose. Brisk attack and well developed mid-palate showing cassis, some mushroom notes and a pleasant lingering final.

There is a slight astringency for me that marred the balance here, but otherwise this is an honest, medium bodied wine with good complexity.

Decanted 2 hours. Full bouquet of cassis, cherries and some cigar leaf, eucalyptus notes. Round attack, a vein of minerality and acidity supports a balanced, complex mid-palate of sweet dark fruit and some spice. Medium final. Very approachable and was enjoyed by all.

Pretty clear brick color. At first the wine is definitely solid, a little tart, but fresh. I will slow "O" for a couple of hours. Come back and smell a little fir needle, and some slight forest notes. The wine has a little barn and earth. In mouth some fruit and a touch of sweetness. St. Estephe like but comes up a little short. Not bad for a 23 year old fully mature drinker.

Not much going on in this wine, maybe opened too early. Nose was closed or weak and the body of the wine lack complexity and was mainly soft, warm cooked fruits without structure.
