Dark fruits on the front end, lots of white pepper on the back end. There wasn't a super long finish but it was a great wine all around. |

2008 Castello di Amorosa Gewürztraminer SimpaticaNapa Valley more |
1/9/2011 - GregDLyons wrote: 84 pointsThis was a very sweet wine. Slightly floral aroma with hints of rubber. Very light yellow color. It's hard to get past the sweetness as it is very overwhelming. We paired this with a dish that was supposed to be spicier than it turned out so the pairing was sub-par. This wine was purchased at the winery very late in a long day of wine tasting so it failed to impress (though our expectations were set accordingly low). |
