Picked this up at L.A. Wine Co. Plenty of fruit in the nose that goes well to the palet. Soft mouth feel and light in the finish. Wine Advocate give it 87, and I have to agree.

As far as Pinot's goes this is a little weak. Nice nose but thats about it.nick_pivonka is spot on with his review. More like a Rose. Given as a gift over the holidays but we're not likely to pick one up in the future.

This had to be a spoiled bottle or this is some really bad Pinot. Bitter and watery right out of the bottle. Little or no fruit. Tried to enjoy some very nice Alaska salmon but this particular pinot did not compliment this meal at all. Poured it down the drain next morning!!

Very nice blend. Medium color Not heavy, medium body....not a big fruit forward wine and light on the palate and finish. Puts me in mind of a Pinot but slighly richer. On special at BevMo...would probably buy again.

Very nice PG from good old Trader Joe's. Moving my earlier rating up a few notches for this very light white. Loads of Apple in the nose. Light on the palate but with enough fruit there to make it a very refreshing summer sipper. If your a PG fan, this is a pretty good QPR .

7/4/2008 - Billyray wrote: 90 points

This was our first try of this Malbec from Vina Cabos. As with others from this producer, we were not disapointed in this offering. Decanted for some time before serving this offered deep color, big fruit in the nose that carried on to the palate with jam and berry.

Deep color, rich texture, earth, cocoa and jam on the palate. Bigger than "Cameron" ....our Fisher favorite but equaly as drinkable. Following RP's advice, will let it set till 2009.

This is a fun wine for the QPR. Clear ruby color, Cherry-like, not too fruity and tanic on the palate. Little finish but not harsh in the mouth. Drinks well and is a nice warm up to something more full bodied......and the Name......amost worth the price.

2005 Erna Schein Behren's Family Reserve

Spring Mountain District Red Bordeaux Blend more

5/7/2008 - Billyray wrote: 93 points

Earthy nose, deep inky color, lots of fruit and rich texture on the palate make this one of the great blends from Les Behrens. At $75.00 and only 300 cases out there, this is not an 'every day' quaffer, but should be enjoyed with a fine meal or a tasting. It really does stand out as a remarkable mix of Bordeuax varietals. I'm glad I have another in the wine closet.

Again a great blend (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot) from Les Behrens. Deep rich color with an abunance of fruit on the nose. Plum, cocoa, & earth give way to a full bodied richness on the palate. We got to the bottle late after Martini's and a "Rochioli" Sav/Blanc so the finish was softend. Alone these ES blends have a lingering palate, finish strong and really stand up well to a rich menu. Next time we'll skip the Martini's

Great QPR for this Red Blend. Listed as a Zinfandel Blend but the Merlot comes through right away. Oak, cocoa, and a smokey nose give way to a soft texture on the palate and an easy finish more like the Zin. Nice "trio".

Hard to beat the QPR for this fine douro from Ramos Pinto. Fruity nose of berry and plum stays on the palate and carries right through to a very light finish finish. The 2003 has a little more body but this one drinks well now and will likely be even better later.
