Bouche robuste, tannins modérés, fruit peu présent, finale courte. Un vin élégant, un peu rigide, qui aurait peu s’adoucir avec le temps, mais aux prix des arômes primaires et de la perte générale de son fruit. 2014 n’est pas un grand millésime pour les barolos, surtout à Serralunga, alors je suis content d’avoir ouvert cette bouteille sans attendre trop. J’ai hâte aux 2016 qui dorment au cellier! |

La bouteille se vide le temps de dire "tarte aux myrtilles"... |

Maybe the 1 hour decant was too long before the tasting… The nose is deep, with flowers and black fruits mixed together. The mouth is fresh, with very smooth tannins, good level of acidity, lots of fruits even after 12 years and this smoky-dusty aftertaste that extends the finish a little more. Make sure to let the bottle vertical day before, to maintain the sediments at the bottom before pouring. |

The cranberry is still there, but with Some plum and a bit of leather. Mouth was fresh, slightly frizzante, plum, dark cherry taste, but light and dry. Short finale. I kept the bottle vertical for days before, for there is a lot of sediments and the more you have those in your glass, the more you have to deal with a bitterness that crushes your palate and the aromas. Helped a lot to avoid that. Overall, the wine was tasteful, had an interesting personality and Worked very well with my lasagna. |

When it’s cool, Acidity takes away the fruit when it’s warm, the sugar comes back on palate. Not for my taste. I had trouble pairing it with something too. Tried pasta, then pork on next day, but nothing seemed to fit. |

Bouche de mandarines avec juste assez de tannins issus de la macération pour donner du corps sans tomber dans l’amertume et l’astringence. Au 2e jour, il a perdu de son mordant, mais glissait sur le poisson cru tout en douceur pour en rehausser la saveur. |
