Domaine Servin Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre

Description
A soft and elegant wine, the Montée de Tonnerre is situated in the same line as the Grand Crus. The notable white clay helps to develop intense fruit and floral aromas. The older vines add the depth and complexity in the mouth. Regarded by many as the best and most consistent Premier Cru in Chablis

Cépage
100 % Chardonnay (known locally as “Beaunois”).

Situation géographique
Right side of the Serein River. Situated right next to the Grand Cru Blanchot.

Terroir
Lime-clay soils are dominant here, but the geological originality of appellation Chablis resides in its sub-strata, often quite near the surface, of kimmeridgean limestone, formed by billions of tiny fossilised oyster shells called ostrea virgule.

Superficie
2,75 ha

Age moyen
37 years (Oldest vines : 54 years)
