Les Pagodes de Cos is in the strictest sense of the term Cos d'Estournel's "Second Wine". The vines producing this wine will be blended in a few years time in the "Grand Vin" of the 1855 Grand Cru Classification. These vines belong to the same Terroir and are given the same careful treatment.

They are simply younger and their roots do not penetrate the gravelly soil so deeply. Powerful, very aromatic, long in the mouth and with a very persistent finish, "Les Pagodes de Cos" is a refined wine offering a moment of great pleasure. This wine should be drunk within the ten years after being Château bottled.
