La Vieille Cure is an estate that since 1986 belongs to the American Colin Ferenbach, who has invested a great deal in cellar equipment and a state of the art winery with elaborate temperature control and extensive replanting when necessary. The vineyard covers about 45 or so acres and is planted in 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, producing about 8,000 cases a year.
