1994 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon

See wine details

Winemakers Comments: There is a consensus among Washington winemakers that 1994 is a classic vintage. The harvest was early and hot with low yields, resulting in very ripe grapes with a great concentration of fruit. All of our vineyards were picked in a two week time span from mid to late September. The 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced in our highly acclaimed Reserve style, which is now the standard for Quilceda Creek. The wine has an impressive opaque purple color, an amazing intensity, great sweetness and an almost syrupy/viscous texture. It is packed with black fruits, smoke, Asian spices and Vanilla, with a layered finish that last over a minute. Although delicious now, the wine will attain its plateau of maturity in 2002 and last for 30+ years. We feel it is the finest wine we have released to date.
